Ace was home to several 50's and 60's hitmakers such as Huey "Piano" Smith (with "Rockin' Pneumonia & Boogie Woogie Flu") and Frankie Ford (with "Sea Cruise"). Purchased in 1997 by Britain's Music Collection International, Ace is noted as one of the first major label forces in the New Orleans area.
