The mayor says that 80% of New Orleans is under water and that the same percentage if not more is without power. The weather in New York has been incredibly sunny, which makes watching this whole disaster unfold so much more surreal. This photo (credit: Dave Martin/Associated Press) was 'borrowed' from the New York Times' web site coverage of the storm & aftermath where you can see many other incredible shots.
